Take A Health Professional to the People Day

Take a Health Professional to the People Day (TADay) is the University of Pittsburgh Center for Health Equity's (CHE) health promotion and disease prevention initiative in partnership with African American owned and operated barbershops in several Pittsburgh communities.  Volunteers are welcome from all health profession backgrounds to offer health services (e.g., blood pressure screening) and health education in the follwing barbershops:

  • Bat's Barber Shop in East Liberty
  • Big Tom's Barber Shop in the Hill District
  • Willie Tee's Barber Shop in Homewood
  • The Natural Choice in Oakland
  • Wade's Barber Shop in Homewood
