Since 1994, MSO has promoted the welfare and interests of underrepresented minority students of the University of Pittsburgh, Graduate School of Public Health.
Vision: To encourage master and doctoral students to unite in recognition of the need to increase minority representation in the public health profession.
- Engage in ongoing efforts to promote minority student professional and leadership skill-building in public health.
- Build networks of student, faculty, and staff across the health sciences and encourage cross-discipline collaboration and dialogue in research and proctice for minority student professionals.
- Promote the continuity of education through attendance and participation in events that support efforts that address health disparities and access in underserved communities locally and nationally.
MSO is an organization led by, and for underrepresented minority students. MSO also welcomes faculty and staff of Pitt Public Health.
